A new feature has been introduced by the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world by market share, Samsung according to which the new Galaxy S10 smartphone can securely store cryptocurrency private keys through its “blockchain-enabled” mobile services. This latest smartphone with up-to-date technology is much awaited in the crypto community.
The new smartphone will also have an upgraded camera system with “advanced intelligence,” 8 GB of Ram and 256 GB of storage. And that’s not all It will have the ability to wirelessly charge other phones. The launch of this new Galaxy S10 was announced in a Press release on 21st February where the details of the phone’s new features and upgrades were mentioned.
Samsung Knox, Samsung’s proprietary defence platform turned out to be the feature which created a buzz in the market. This platform is supposed to enable the new smartphone to have secure private key storage specially made for blockchain-enabled mobile services.
Back in December 2018, SamMobile, a community website was among the first one to air this rumour that the new S10 could introduce crypto friendly feature. Whereas, these predictions were declined by the company initially, but these speculations were made when it was discovered that Samsung filed several parents around blockchain. The website also suggested that Samsung cryptocurrency service could introduce a cold wallet for saving coins, Public and private cryptocurrency keys. In fact, it also suggested a crypto wallet where users can transfer funds and review transaction history. Though these speculations were made way before the official announcement, yet the rumours turned out to be true.
